Sharon Cuneta seemingly shared her sentiment on Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon’s (TVJ) dispute with production company TAPE, as the Megastar stressed that the trio “did not deserve” what they had been through.

Cuneta, who was a guest during the pilot episode of TVJ’s new noontime show on TV5, spoke about this after singing the hit OPM songs “Kahit Maputi Na ang Buhok Ko” and “Bituing Walang Ningning.”

“Karangalan ko pong nandito ako dahil bumalik sa ere ang TVJ, pero talagang sumama ang loob ko dahil dapat inalagaan kayo,” she said. “Ayoko ‘yung pinagdaanan niyo. You didn’t deserve that.”

(It is an honor to be here today because this marks the return of TVJ on air. But I really felt bad because they should have taken care of you. I detest what you have been through. You didn’t deserve that.)

De Leon then butted in and quipped, “Away ‘to, away.” (This spells [start of] an argument.)

“Hindi naman, naglalabas lang ako [ng saloobin],” Cuneta continued. “‘Yan din naman ata ang nararamdaman ng Dabarkads niyo sa buong mundo.” (No, I’m just sharing my sentiment, and your Dabarkads (fans) all over the world are probably feeling the same thing.)

The actress-singer then underscored the unwavering support of the public to TVJ as well as their fellow “legit Dabarkads.”

“Maraming shows sa noontime, may kanya-kanyang nagmamahal pero iba pa rin ang pagmamahal sa kasama ng TVJ at Dabarkads. So, ‘wag natin pababayaan na mawala ang kaligayahan ng taumbayan,” she said. “Isang libo’t isang tuwa—nandito na ulit. Wala nang mabubulaga.”

(There are several noontime shows and each has its own supporters, but the love of fans for TVJ and Dabarkads is exceptional. So, please do not let the public’s source of happiness be taken away. The one thousand and one joy is here again. There will be no more shocking [instances].)

The new TVJ show premiered on the TV5 network on Saturday, July 1. Its title was not immediately clear, but the trio seemingly hinted that the program would be called “EAT.”  /ra
