Sharad Pawar had links with Dawood Ibrahim, says BJP leader Kirit Somaiya

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has alleged that NCP chief Sharad Pawar had links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. “Nawab Malik has kept on repeating that Sameer Wankhede’s (NCB Zonal Director) father is not Dnyandev but Dawood.. Dawood is not his father. Ask Sharad Pawar who sat on a plane with Dawood in 1993-94? Has Pawar forgotten who had got Dawood a seat in the plane and who was sitting with him,” said Somaiya while addressing BJP cadres in Mumbai on Sunday.

Somaiya said that he would reveal more scams relating to the state government in the next few days and said that the scams pertain to their ‘sons in laws’.

NCP leader Nawab Malik, however, claimed he has information about massive irregularities of BJP leaders that he would soon reveal. “I will reveal this in the Maharashtra assembly. Once it is done, the BJP cadre will not be able to show their face to the people of the state,” Malik.

The NCP leader took objection to the claim of National Commission for Scheduled Castes Vice Chairman Arun Haldar’s statement claiming that NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede was from the Scheduled caste. ” Haldar may be a BJP Leader, but he is appointed to a constitutional post. He should verify all the facts before making these statements.”said Malik. The NCP leader claimed that Wankhede and his family were Muslims after their father Dyandev had converted to marry one Zahida. He said, “The family began to live like Muslims. However, Sameer came into limelight when he stopped film stars at the airport. ”
