This is the first time Shang-Chi will have been on Disney Plus.

Prior to this, the movie was only available to see in cinemas and had not been shown on the streaming service.

This method of release differed from the previous Marvel film’s, Black Widow.

The Scarlett Johansson-led movie was not only screened in cinemas but was also available on Disney Plus with Premier Access (an additional fee of £20).

The promotional Disney Plus subscriber price makes it the cheapest service around, beating out Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, etc.

To make matters even more exciting, Disney Plus Day will welcome a collection of new entries into the Disney Plus repertoire.

Not only will a Billie Eilish documentary be joining the franchise, but so will the 2007 fairytale movie Enchanted.

On top of this, a collection of the Marvel movies will be revitalised with a new look.

This week it was announced a number of Marvel films will be available on Disney Plus Day in IMAX Enhanced Aspect Ratio.

This 1:90:1 is usually seen in IMAX cinema screens, which is shaped more like a square than a rectangle.

Shang-Chi is not the only film being given this new look, as it is being joined by Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and more.

The Marvel films are available on Disney Plus now.
