Shah Rukh Khan And Indian Women’s Hockey Team Coach Sjoerd Marijne Have A Chak De! India Moment
Minutes after the Indian women’s hockey team beat Team Australia in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, filmy netizens of Twitter began to trend ‘Kabir Khan’. For those who’ve been wondering why the name ‘Kabir Khan’ has been trending on Twitter for hours now, it’s because Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Team India coach Kabir Khan in the 2007 film, Chak De! The coach responsible for Team India’s stunning victory at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 is Sjoerd Marijne who is being compared to SRK’s Kabir Khan. “Sorry family, I coming again later (sic),” Sjoerd Marijne tweeted along with a picture of the Indian women’s hockey team. Shah Rukh Khan has also replied to the tweet with a warm message.
“Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan,” SRK tweeted.
