Shaakuntalam Trailer: Dev Mohan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s epic journey of love will surely move you

he makers of Shaakuntalam, the highly-anticipated Telugu mythological drama which is all set to be released on April 14 after many postponements, recently released a new trailer.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram and shared the new update and the trailer. She wrote, “Get ready to embark on an epic journey of love #Shaakuntalam worldwide release on April 14 in 3D & 2D.”

The new trailer shows Shakuntala and Dushyanta’s love, while also emphasising the difficulties Shakuntala must face in order to be with her beloved.

The trailer looks beautiful and vibrant in every frame. In the trailer, Samantha is looking gorgeous as Shakuntala and gives an amazing performance.

The famous Kalidasa play Shakuntalam, serves as the central theme of the pan-Indian mythological romantic drama. Shakuntala is the consort of King Dushyant and the mother of Emperor Bharata. When King Dushyant is on a hunting trip in the jungle, he encounters Shakuntala. They fell in love and were wed according to the Gandharva tradition.

Other than Samantha and Dev Mohan, Shaakuntalam also stars Mohan Babu, Allu Arha, Aditi Balan, Gautami, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananya Nagalla. The mythological drama is directed by Gunasekhar and is all set to hit theatres on April 14, this year.
