The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has signed with a Hollywood agency that represents the likes of Ben Affleck and her friend Serena Williams.
The talent agency William Morris Endeavor made the announcement on its Instagram account.
It wrote: “We are honored to announce that WME now represents Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in all areas.
“The agency will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency and its broader ecosystem, including film and television production, brand partnerships, and more.”
The agency will also represent Meghan’s media company with Prince Harry, Archewell.

Variety reported that the brand will represent film and television production, brand partnerships, and “overall business-building”.
It claimed that acting will not be an area of focus for the Duchess.
Meghan will be represented CEO Ari Emanuel, who works alongside other agents like Brad Slater and Jill Smoller.
Just days before the news of the signing came to light, Meghan was seen wearing clothing from her new agent Ari Emanuel’s wife’s brand STAUD.
Meghan has a close friendship with Serena Williams, who has worked with Jill Smoller for years. Smoller is a former professional tennis player.
She won a number of grand slam tournaments, alongside doubles partners Jennifer Fuchs and Leigh Anne Eldredge.
Meghan gushed about her friendship with Williams in the past. She wrote: “We are both the same age, have a penchant for hot sauces, and adore fashion, but what connects us more than those things is perhaps our belief in exceeding expectations – our endless ambition.”
Meghan and Williams met for the first time in 2010 at the Super Bowl. However, they became close friends in 2014.
Since Meghan travelled to watch Serena at Wimbledon, and later Williams attended Meghan’s wedding with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Serena has publicly defended her friend on a number of occasions. After Meghan’s interview with Oprah she wrote on social media: “Meghan Markle, my selfless friend, lives her life – and leads by example – with empathy and compassion. She teaches me every day what it means to be truly noble. Her words illustrate the pain and cruelty she’s experienced.”
Last year she appeared on Meghan’s podcast Archetypes as her first-ever guest.
Meghan’s new agent Ari Emanuel was one of the real-life inspirations behind Entourage, a show dubbed “misogynistic” by critics who also slammed it for its treatment of the LGBTQ+ community.
Emanuel is one of the inspirations behind the infamous Ari Gold character in the hit TV show “Entourage”.
