Selling the OC’s Tyler Stanaland reveals wife Brittany Snow’s reaction to drama
Tyler Stanaland has shared wife Brittany Snow’s opinions on Selling the OC after the bombshell first season.
The Selling Sunset spin-off landed on Netflix last month, introducing us to the chaos of the Orange County branch of the Oppenheim Group, with the cast including Alex Hall, Gio Helou and formidable selling team Alexandra Jarvis and Alexandra Rose.
However, Tyler’s marriage to the Pitch Perfect star was thrown into the spotlight when it was revealed that Kayla Cardona had tried it on with him during a night out – news which left their co-stars reeling.
Fans have been left wondering just how the actress felt watching the drama unfold, and her partner has now spilled on her reaction.
‘She watched it. I mean, she thought — like everybody else did — it’s entertaining. It’s a lot, but it’s good,’ he said in a new interview, explaining that they both choose to ‘keep our professional lives separate.
‘That was a decision that we made long ago, and this was something that I did for myself and I just wanted to keep it that way.’
However, the former professional surfer stopped short of revealing what she made of the scenes concerning his issues with Kayla, telling Us Weekly that it is ‘something that I will just keep between us.
‘It’s something that in a marriage – you have to have trust, especially in this space and especially hers. It’s something that we are fortunate to have.’
Tyler and Brittany got engaged in 2019, a year after they first started dating.
They tied the knot in March of the following year, hosting their ceremony at a vineyard in Malibu before the Covid lockdown hit.
The agent also remained coy on whether we could ever get a glimpse of the John Tucker Must Die actress on Selling the OC, adding: ‘I don’t know. We’ll have to see what transpires with the show.’
Well, that’s not a no…
Kayla rocked the O Group when she attempted to make a move on her colleague during a night out.
The incident impacted her professional life as she rowed with Polly Brindle and Alex over her behavior, with the office divided following the incident.
Cameras were on hand to witness her apology to Tyler, who wanted to move on from the situation without causing a stir.
‘My wife and I are very strong. We communicate. And there’s no issue between us,’ he said at the time.
‘One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well. On the show, out of respect for her, I am just trying to minimize it and brush past it so that there isn’t drama, we can all focus on what we should be doing.
‘It was something where I had to set some hard lines and some boundaries, and reconsider the social environment. Again, nothing happened, it was an attempt and some words and something you don’t do to somebody who is married.’
Selling the OC is available to stream on Netflix now.
