Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim won’t be throwing himself in the dating scene anytime soon following his ’emotional’ split from Chrishell Stause.

The former couple started dating shortly before cameras rolled for the latest series, but their romance came to an end in December 2021, as they struggled to decide when would be the best time to start a family.

In a story on his own Instagram page, the real-estate broker, 45, said the reality star, 40, was ‘the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had’ but agreed the couple had ‘different wants’.

‘While Chrishell and I are no longer together we remain best friends and will always love and support one another,’ he wrote.

In Monday’s instalment of This Morning, Jason talked about his latest TV series Selling The OC, presenter Holly Willoughby asked him how he felt filming the tearful season five reunion – which saw him and Chrishell reflecting on their relationship.

‘I wouldn’t say it’s uncomfortable filming that side,’ he told Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield.

‘I never expected that, but I think it was easier with Chrishell but it was difficult. I have no plans of filming another relationship…. or being in one for that matter,’ he laughed.

Chrishell has indeed moved on from their romance, and is now dating Australian non-binary rapper G Flip – taking the opportunity to confirm her new love in the reunion after intense speculation.

Despite their earlier emotional chat, Jason seemed genuinely delighted for his ex.

‘They seem like a bad ass for one and seeing her smile the last couple of minutes makes me very happy. I’m proud of you,’ he said

Season five closed with the bombshell that Emma Hernan was told by a client that Christine Quinn tried to bribe him into not working with her anymore.

In turn, it was later revealed Christine’s bio had been removed from The Oppenheim Group’s official website, and during the reunion, Jason revealed: ‘There’s not a place for her at The Oppenheim Group.’

During his appearance on today’s This Morning, he explained how things are between him and Christine.

‘I haven’t even asked, wee haven’t started filming,’ he added.

‘She’s doing her own thing, and yeah she’s definitely complicated some things.

‘I would like to speak to her, I don’t know where things stand between her Netflix and production. I try to stay out of that.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV. Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
