Babina Noko will welcome the KwaZulu-Natal based team for a DStv Premiership tie at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

In their last game at home, Sekhukhune played to a 1-1 draw with Chippa United.

But, Truter is confident that they will be able to get three points against the Team of Choice, especially with the return of striker Victor Letsoalo, whom the Sekhukhune coach trusts that he will make an impact upfront after missing their previous game.

“We welcome Maritzburg to Peter Mokaba wanting three points from them. Now it is our home game, we got a point in our last game away from home, and we always want to get three points at home. Right now the squad is looking good, everybody is available, except for the injured Linda Mntambo, our captain and few others,” said Truter ahead of the game.

“But we have Victor Letsoalo back in attack, it gives us extra fire power up front.”

Going into this clash, Truter says it will be important for his side to score first against a team like Maritzburg, who have quality all-round.

“We have to use our chances in the first half because Maritzburg is a team that possesses some good quality players and also their coach. So, we have to be mindful about their strategy or their plan when they are coming to us. With us it’s about taking our chances, especially in the first half and managing the game in the second half,” he added.

“We don’t want to be chasing the game against a team like Maritzburg. We saw that they can close shop in their previous away game. But right now I’m happy (with the preparations), the spirit is good, intensity and training are also good. The confidence is also high in the team.”

Sekhukhune head into this clash with the side currently in ninth spot on the league standings with 29 points after 24 games, while Maritzburg are second from bottom with 23 points from the same number of matches.
