There’s a clever feature that lets you add a magnifying lens over a part of a screen-grab.

This means you can zoom in on key information.

And if there’s extra detail you don’t want to be shown, you can fade out the rest of the image.

This means anyone receiving an iPhone screenshot from you knows exactly where to look.

How to magnify an iPhone screenshot

First you’ll need to take a screenshot – preferably of something with lots of detail.

Tap on the thumbnail when it appears, which takes you to the editing screen.

Now press on the plus symbol in the corner and choose Magnifier from the list.

This lets you place a magnifying lens over part of the image.

If you tap the plus symbol again, you’ll be able to choose Opacity.

Set this to the maximum level to cover the background, highlighting the magnified part.

You can also choose a more gentle fade, if you prefer.

Of course that’s not the only iPhone screenshot hack worth knowing about.

More iPhone screenshot tricks

Apple actually lets you take full-page screenshots of Safari websites.

It’s a great hack that saves you having to take multiple screenshots to capture an entire page.

Simply go to a Safari page and take a screenshot.

Then tap the thumbnail to get into the editor, and choose Full Page at the top of the screen.

You can save the screenshot by tapping Done, and then saving it as a PDF.

It’s also possible to share it directly to someone else in another app.

Another handy iPhone screenshot trick is Back Tap.

That lets you take screenshots by tapping the back of your iPhone.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch and then look for Back Tap.

You can set screenshots to trigger if you do a Double Tap or Triple Tap.

It’s a handy way to quickly take screenshots, especially if you can only use one hand.
