SECR Railway Recruitment 2022: Apply online for 21 posts under sports quota – Times of India

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for 21 vacancies online through the official website – https://secr.indianrailways.gov.in/. The last date to apply for these posts is March 5, 2022.

Candidates can apply for more than one sport discipline/ event for which separate application has to be submitted by paying the examination fee separately.Candidates should note that the Sports achievements of current and previous two financial years will only be taken into account for eligibility. Therefore, the Sports achievement on or after April 1, 2019 will only be considered.

Persons if appointed as Clerk-cum-Typists have to acquire Typing proficiency of 30 W.P.M. in English or 25 W.P.M. in Hindi within a period of four years from the date of appointment. Till such time their appointment to the category will be provisional.

SECR Railway Recruitment 2022: Age Limit (as on July 1, 2022)

Candidate must have been born not earlier than July 2, 1997 and not later than July 1, 2004.

Note: No age relaxation is permissible for any category.

SECR Railway Recruitment 2022: Examination Fees

Rs. 500/- for all (except the categories exempted for fee relaxation, with the provision for refunding Rs 400/- after deducting bank charges to those eligible candidates who actually appear in the trials.
Rs. 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes (BBC), with the provision for refunding full amount after deducting bank charges to those eligible candidates who actually appear in the trials.

SECR Railway Recruitment 2022: Mode of selection

Selection is based on total marks obtained by the candidates. The distribution of marks is as under:

Trials of the candidates shall be conducted to assess their sports performance and suitability for Railway/ Unit team as well as Indian Railways’ team. Trial Committee shall give its recommendation in terms of either FIT or NOT FIT, for consideration for next stage. The candidates securing minimum 25 marks in trials will be declared FIT and will be considered for next stage of recruitment.
