Seaside spot with ‘lovely golden sands’ is one of UK’s best
As the temperature soars, it’s the perfect time to spend a relaxing beach day at the British seaside.
One of the UK’s best beaches can be found in Norfolk and has rolling golden sands with far fewer crowds than in Cornwall or Devon.
Gorleston-on-Sea is just south of Great Yarmouth and has a huge bay with a stunning sandy beach.
Tripadvisor recently named the beach as one of the best in the UK and it’s a firm favourite with locals.
In summer, tourists might find bands playing at the bandstand and families strolling the promenade.

A tourist ‘10lottie81’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Beautiful uncommercialised beach. Lovely golden sands and nice chip shop.
“Perfect place to go with young children without having all the built up hustle and bustle. Would definitely come again.”
Another visitor ‘Danicalou’ said: “Lovely scenic views. Great for kids to play on sand. Little park at the top too.”
Another tourist who visited the dreamy beach said it was the perfect place to “get away from it all!”
‘DeanMcc007’ said: “If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth, then this is the place.”
A tourist who visited in the spring said the beach was “spotlessly clean” and perfect for a “leisurely walk”.
Norfolk might not be Britons’ first thought for a beachy staycation, but the region is rumoured to be a favourite of the Princess of Wales.
Kate is thought to enjoy visiting Holkham Beach on North Norfolk’s coast when she stays at the Sandringham Estate.
Norfolk’s beaches are often far quieter than those further south and much less developed than at many seaside resorts.
