Scarlett Moffatt has revealed she tried to drop hints at what she was planning on calling her baby ahead of giving birth to her first child.

The former Gogglebox star, 32, announced in February that she and boyfriend Scott Dobinson were expecting a child together, later sharing that they would be having a son.

On Thursday Scarlett not only revealed she’d given birth to a son called Jude Xavier Dobinson, but also shared a series of intimate snaps from her labour.

But now she’s admitted that she was sharing some subtle clues as to what name she’d settled on in various social media posts.

‘I know I’m biased and have lots of Oxytocin running through my body right now,’ she began a post on Instagram, which was shared alongside a photo of her son sleeping.

‘But I can’t believe this bundle of beautiful is our baby boy.

‘We’ve had so much love for Jude’s name.’

She added: ‘I did try and give you clues with the constant Beatles music in the background of my stories.’

‘But thank you for the love and well wishes. Also I’m doing great after the whirlwind of him coming so early, thank you so much for asking ????????.’

When announcing her son’s birth on Thursday, Scarlett said she ‘couldn’t stop crying’ and that Jude had come early, at 35 weeks.

Addressing her son she wrote: ‘Me & your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy.’

She also went on to thank her partner Scott Dobinson, their midwives and the NHS team at Durham Hospital.

‘You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence,’ she added.

Scarlett is best known for appearing alongside her family, parents Mark and Betty and sister Ava-Grace, on Gogglebox from 2014-2016.

She then went on to win the sixteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2016, and has since appeared in programmes including Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Gogglebox is streaming on All4.
