Saw X trailer – Jigsaw returns in ‘most disturbing’ outing set after original

It’s been almost 20 years since torture horror Saw hit cinemas and spawned its franchise that follows serial killer Jigsaw and his twisted and fatal games.

Tobin Bell’s John Kramer may have been killed off in Saw III but he’s continued to pop up in subsequent sequels and is now fully back in tenth outing Saw X.

Except this time it’s neither a prequel nor a sequel but an in-betweenquel or sidequel.

The star may be 80 but he’s playing himself 20 years younger in an outing set between the events of Saw and Saw II.

The first trailer and poster have landed for Saw X, which promises to be another gruesome addition to the saga.

The horror film’s synopsis reads: “John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing instalment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game.

“Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable.

“Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”

Saw X hits cinemas on September 29, 2023.
