Save over £400 on EE’s new PS5 and Nintendo Switch pay monthly bundles
EE will soon be adding new bundles for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch OLED, plus an option for existing customers to get a Meta Quest 2.
With gaming becoming less and less affordable, especially in the current economic climate, everyone is looking for a good deal to help save money.
As such, EE customers will be interested to know that the company is introducing new gaming dedicated bundles as part of its efforts to become the ‘most personal customer-focused technology brand in the UK.’
It already has bundles that include an Xbox Series X/S console and a Game Pass subscription and, as of next week, you’ll be able to get your hands on a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch OLED as well.
Previously, EE only offered PlayStation 5 accessories like the controller, as well as select games, but its new bundle will include the console itself. Although there’s no mention of whether it will be able to offer both the standard and digital versions of the PlayStation 5 or just one of them.
The bundle will also contain a PlayStation Plus subscription, unlimited mobile gaming data, and a video data pass that will let you watch YouTube videos and streams without eating into your data allowance.
This will cost £31 per month across a 24-month contract with £10 upfront, which EE says saves over £400.
As for Nintendo, EE already has deals for the standard Switch console and the Switch Lite, but this new bundle is specifically for the Switch OLED.
It’s more or less the same as the PlayStation 5 bundle, since it comes with a subscription for Nintendo’s online service, unlimited mobile gaming data, and the video data pass.
The contract is almost the same too, being for 24 months with £10 upfront, but it is cheaper since it’s £17 per month.
EE has also confirmed that the Meta Quest 2, which is already available for EE customers, can be added to a current plan starting at £35 per month for 11 months with a £10 up-front cost.
As for PC gamers, Lenovo’s Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop will also be available to add to your plan from £70 per month for 11 months with an £30 up-front cost. This comes with three months of Xbox Game Pass as well.
All of this will become available next week on Wednesday October 26, with in-store gaming bays also due to arrive at 175 EE retail stores, so you can test out consoles and buy them there and then.
‘We already offer an unbeatable network, and with the nation gaming more than ever, we have pressed play on our ambition to become the UK’s no.1 for gamers,’ says CEO Marc Allera.
‘Moving forward, we’ll look to evolve our network and build on our existing partnerships with the world’s best gaming companies – reviewing the latest exciting new hardware and services, so we can offer gamers new and old, unique and exclusive opportunities to make the most from their gaming experience.’
