Samsung says the ‘most Note-worthy’ S series phone will launch next month

TL;DR

  • Samsung confirmed an Unpacked event will happen next month.
  • The company said the event will see the launch of the ‘most Note-worthy’ S series phone.

Samsung is tipped to launch the Galaxy S22 series in February, and the company has now confirmed this launch window while also hinting at what to expect from the 2022 flagship family.

Mobile chief TM Roh acknowledged the lack of a Galaxy Note phone in 2021 in a post on Samsung’s website, adding that consumers liked the line’s productivity/creativity focus and the S Pen experience.

“At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created,” Roh explained. In case there was any doubt that this was a reference to the Galaxy Note family, an emailed press release to Android Authority says that it will be the “most Note-worthy” S series phone yet.

Roh further claimed that the device will offer the “best and brightest” photos and videos at night, signing off by saying people should get ready for the “ultimate Ultra experience.” The company also uploaded a teaser video for the new phones, seen at the top of this page.

We still don’t have a specific launch date then, but several leaks point to a February 8 date. The Korean manufacturer is expected to launch the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra phones on the day, and leaked renders point to the Ultra model getting the Note line’s S Pen slot.

Samsung will also be opening its “Reserve Now” offers for its next Galaxy phone and tablet at 10 AM ET (7 AM PT) today in the US. This will allow consumers to reserve the devices early and get Samsung.com offers like an extra $50 credit.
