Samsung reveals Galaxy Unpacked date for the Galaxy S23 series

TL;DR

  • This year’s Galaxy Unpacked event will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM ET.
  • The event will happen live in person in San Francisco, but will also be live-streamed on all of Samsung’s usual channels.
  • It’s likely this event will also be the launch date of the Galaxy S23 series.

The time has come for another one of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked events. After weeks of speculation, Samsung has finally confirmed that the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023 will happen on Wednesday, February 1, at 1:00 PM ET.

Just like last year’s event — which happened on February 9 — revealed the Galaxy S22 series, this year’s show is expected to unveil the Galaxy S23 series. Unlike the last few years, however, this event will happen live in person.

Taking place in San Francisco, CA, Samsung will be holding the event at the Masonic Auditorium. However, you won’t need an invite and a plane ticket to see what’s announced. The company will also be live-streaming the announcements on YouTube, Samsung.com, and its other channels for free.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event usually doubles as the launch date for its announced phones, so the Galaxy S23 series should be available for purchase sometime during or after the event. To that, the Korean-based organization revealed it will open its US reserve offers for the upcoming Galaxy devices starting today and ending on February 1.

If you want to reserve one for yourself, Samsung states that it’s offering a no-commitment deal. This means you don’t have to put down money, you just need to provide your name and email address to reserve your phone. Those who do reserve a phone on Samsung.com or the Shop Samsung App can get a $50 credit for preordering one device and $100 for two devices.
