Samsung may launch Galaxy S22 series with Snapdragon 898 processor in India – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samsung recently launched its foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G in India. Samsung is focusing on the launch of its next flagship series — Galaxy S22. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 smartphone in January 2022. Now, a new leak has surfaced online revealing that Samsung might launch Snapdragon 898 powered Galaxy S22 series in India.
According to tipster FrontTron, Samsung is likely to introduce the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 powered Galaxy S22 series of smartphones in India. If this is true, then this will be the first flagship Galaxy S-series to come with a Qualcomm processor in India. Until now the company has only introduced Exynos powered flagship smartphones in India. The tipster further adds that regions like Europe, Korea, Hong Kong, China, South America will likely get the Exynos 2200 powered Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
Another online report suggests that Samsung is facing some issues with the initial production of Exynos 2200 and this is the reason why the company is considering reducing its volume. The report also adds that Qualcomm has also proposed a unit price cut.
Samsung has not yet made any official announcement related to this and we are still months away from the launch of the Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung is said to bring a 6-inch Galaxy S22, 6.55-inch Galaxy S22+ and 6.81-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone. The display on the Samsung Galaxy S22 models is said to sport 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to come with dynamic refresh rate alteration. This feature will reportedly boost the battery life of the big-screen smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are expected to feature an all-new 50MP main sensor along with a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to pack a 108MP main camera with three 12MP auxiliary sensors, which will include a telephoto, a periscope and an ultra-wide angle snapper.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are said to pack 3800mAh and 4000mAh batteries respectively. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to house a 5000mAh battery.
