Samsung Galaxy Tab S8: Samsung Snapdragon 898 Chips: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 tablets may run Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon chipset | – Times of India

Samsung will use Snapdragon 898 chipsets, the most powerful chipset for Android devices, in its upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets, as per tipster Ice Universe. The tipster specifically stated that the tablets would not come with Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chipset with the AMD RDNA GPU which is expected to be more powerful than its Adreno counterpart.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipsets are still a long way off and only expected by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. The Exynos 2200 may also be headed for launch a bit late only.

The claims come on the heels of the previously leaked specs of the Galaxy Tab S8. As per the leaked info, there are going to be three variants of the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets: the S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra. The vanilla Tab S8 version is speculated to come with an 8,000mAh battery, the Galaxy Tab S8+ is expected to come with a 10,090mAh battery, while the Ultra version is expected to be backed by the biggest battery among the three, with 11,500mAh. The tablets are expected to come with support for 10V 4.5A 45W charging, which would put them in the rare league of tablets supporting charging of 40 or more watts.
The current Samsung tablets Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ come with 8,000mAh and 10,090mAh batteries respectively. Both the flagship tablets come with support for 45W charging. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the more recent of the Samsung tablets, is backed by a 10,090mAh battery only, with support for 45W charging also, though Samsung sells the 45W charger separately.
