Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with in-built S Pen, Vision Booster and Adaptive Pixel launched – Times of India
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone alongside the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, according to the company, merges the Note series features and Galaxy S series pro-grade camera and performance.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra now comes equipped with an S Pen and also includes the top notch camera features from the Galaxy S series lineup, which makes it the first Galaxy S series smartphone to come with built-in stylus support like Galaxy Note series.
In addition to that, the flagship smartphone from the company comes equipped with top notch hardware that includes a massive 6.8-inch QHD+ display and quad-core processor and 108MP triple rear camera setup.
Samsung has not revealed the India pricing of the smartphone. The smartphone will be available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and, new on S22 Ultra, Burgundy colour options.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: Specifications
The Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It comes with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate in Game mode. In addition to that the display also supports Vision Booster and Eye confort shield. The display is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
The Vision Booster feature takes the surrounding light intensity into consideration to improve display visibility.
The smartphone comes in four RAM and storage variants — 8GB + 128GB, 12GB+ 256GB, 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB.
Powering the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the company’s latest Exynos 2200 processor clocked at 3Ghz. The SoC also comes with AMD RDNA2 GPU.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup that includes 108MP f/1.8 wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and two 10MP telephoto sensors with 3X and 10X optical zoom respectively.
The camera setup is also equipped with a new feature called Adaptive Pixel. This new technology combines one large pixel by combining image details from the 109MP sensor using the process called ‘Pixel binning’.
At the front, the smartphone features a 4MP f/2.2 sensor.
The smartphone supports 100X Space Zoom including 10X Optical Zoom and 10X digital zoom.
The smartphone runs One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
