Sam Frost’s awkward Home And Away swipe
Just weeks after her controversial exit from the Channel 7 soap, Sam Frost has appeared to mock Home And Away’s dramatic storylines.
Sam Frost has seemingly mocked Home And Away’s dramatic storylines just weeks after her controversial departure from the Channel 7 soap.
The 32-year-old Australian reality star turned actress reposted a story from satire website The Betoota Advocate, which featured an article mocking the local show’s penchant for including scenes involving car crashes.
The headline of the article read, ‘Home And Away Writer Fired For Not Reaching One Car Crash Scene Per Season Quota’.
Frost, who filmed her last scenes for the show in December after earlier revealing she was not vaccinated against Covid-19, shared the article on her Instagram stories, before commenting on the original post quoting a line from the story.
“and if possible, an explosion,” she wrote alongside laughing emojis.
Frost played Jasmine Delaney on the show for four years.
The former Bachelorette became the centre of controversy in October when she revealed in an emotional, since-deleted video on her Instagram that she had not been vaccinated, despite Seven network mandating vaccines for employees.
She said she “could get into trouble” for revealing her stance but pleaded for “compassion” and “empathy” for those who have made the same decision as her, adding “there’s a lot of segregation”.
“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and its taking its toll on my mental health,” Frost told her 577,000 followers on Instagram.
“There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever.
“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not.
“I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private.”
After the backlash, Frost announced she would be getting vaccinated in February as she had a medical procedure booked for January.
At the time, she said she would definitely be returning to reprise her role in early 2022.
“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months. Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone,” she wrote.
But just weeks later, it was revealed Frost was leaving the show and moving to Melbourne.
She’s recently announced the release of her book, Believe, which details her mental health struggles.
