Salman Khan Death Threats: Police arrest 21-year-old from Jodhpur

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently all geared up for the release of his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The Mumbai police have arrested a 21-year-old man from the Jodhpur district in Rajasthan in connection with the death threat emails sent to actor Salman Khan on Sunday. 

As per multiple media reports, the Mumbai Police and Rajasthan police had teamed up for a joint operation. Following the complaint made in Bandra by Salman’s friend Prashant Gunjalkar and the start of the investigation, it was discovered that the email had been sent from Jodhpur, according to Ishwar Chand Pareek of the Luni police station in Jodhpur. The Jodhpur police received the information from the Mumbai Police.

During the investigation, the suspect has been identified as Dhakad Ram Bishnoi, a resident of Rohicha Kalan village in Siyago Ki Dhani in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. After being arrested by Luni police on Sunday, the accused was brought to Mumbai and handed over to the police.

Talking to a leading news agency, Ishwar Chand Pareek said, “In the case registered in Bandra police station of threats to kill Salman Khan via email, the Mumbai police team & Luni police team in joint action caught Dhakad Ram, a resident of Luni in Jodhpur district. He was handed over to Mumbai police.”

It is also alleged that Dhakad Ram has also sent a threatening email to the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s father and threatened to kill him.

The operation was handled under the guidance of Additional DCP Jaiprakash Atal, according to Jodhpur Police Commissioner Ravidutt Gaur. In the past, the accused was also detained for violating the Arms Act. On September 22, 2022, the Sardarpura police detained him, and they found weapons on him.

Last week, the actor received a death threat via. an email and the Mumbai police filed an FIR against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar and Rohit Garg under sections 506 (2), 120 (b) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
