Sally Nugent suffers wardrobe mishap as she unveils new BBC Breakfast set ‘Didn’t realise’
BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent took to social media this morning to unveil the “snazzy” new set, created especially for today’s Olympics coverage. The TV star, who turned 50 last week, joked that the colourful set was “very understated” before realising that she had dressed in exactly the same bold colours.
Sally, who sported a blue shirt and red trousers, shared a picture of herself online this morning, ahead of her stint on the show.
“Snazzy new set @bbcbreakfast,” she captioned a picture which she posted in view of her 25,500 Instagram followers.
Sally’s co-star Louise Minchin later pointed out that it was very difficult to spot the presenter as she blended into the red sofa and blue background.
The famous couch was embellished with Team GB cushions while pictures from the Tokyo games were displayed behind her.

During her appearance on today’s show, Louise compared the set to a grotto or a shrine.
“I think it’s just fabulous,” Sally hit back, before drawing attention to her ill-thought-out outfit.
“I didn’t realise I’d dressed to match the entire set,” she added.
“It’s quite difficult to see you with the blue on blue,” Louise, who was hosting the breakfast show with Jon Kay, remarked.
Sally interviewed Max Whitlock, who won the men’s pommel horse competition, making him the most successful British gymnast in history.
Ahead of the interview, her co-star Louise had a go on the gymnast’s favourite apparatus which had been set up in the studio.
She could be seen on the pommel horse in a picture shared on Twitter.
“Good morning, back to the 03.45 #BBCBreakfast alarm call and guess who is going to be chatting to us today? #olympics,” she captioned the snap, which she shared with her 213,200 followers.
