Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s is making waves with its new Custard Creams.

As a part of its new coronation range of party foods, the chain has dropped a strawberry and cream flavour of the sweet staple, and fans are going wild for it.

Described simply as ‘Plain biscuits with a strawberry, cream and vanilla flavour filling’ on the Sainsbury’s website, the new filling is still sandwiched between the same short, sweet bakes we know and love.

At just 60p for 16 servings, it feels rude not to!

Spotted by food and beverage Instagram account Well This Is New, the biscuits are garnering a fair bit of attention, with a post of theirs earning hundreds of likes.

One commenter wrote: ‘Mmm I fancy these’, while another wrote, ‘Looks great’.

However, not everyone was convinced, with one person writing: ‘They don’t taste of strawberry at all.’

Meanwhile, popular content creator Another Snack Reviewer, aka Ellie, shared her thoughts on the sweet treat on the social media platform in a post that’s earned over 1,000 likes, writing: ‘Now sometimes strawberry can be really artificial and just not that appetising, but the taste of these is just right for me, although leaning towards the more synthetic side.

‘They smell like strawberry milkshake, however I didn’t think the flavour itself was very strong and got lost a bit with all the biscuit.’

Make of that what you will.
