Hold onto your wigs – RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s season 4 is coming very, very soon.

The news was announced this afternoon by the show’s official Twitter account, which shared a short video clip teasing the episodes ahead.

The video clip is only 10 seconds long but packs a lot into its short runtime – including the new tagline for the season: ‘BRING IT TO THE RUNW4Y’.

It features a film reel of dazzling lights, glistening glitter, and flashing cameras, before it gives way to the Drag Race UK logo and a direct, exciting message: ‘S4’.

The clip finishes with Ru’s signature laugh.

The list of queens taking part in the 2022 UK edition of the iconic drag TV competition is yet to be announced, but fans have been fiercely speculating.

Several queens vanished from social media in late February and stopped booking in-person gigs at bars and clubs around the country.

And as much as fans are excited for the new season, some are growing impatient that the line-up is still being kept under wraps.

‘Just give us the promos this week please,’ one fan commented underneath, while another fan hoped that the line-up would be revealed within 24 hours.

Rumoured to be taking part this year are Birmingham-based queen Black Peppa, Manchester’s Cheddar Gorgeous, and 22-year-old Dakota Schiffer.

Season 3 of Drag Race UK was won by Krystal Versace, while Ella Vaday and Kitty Scott-Claus were the runners-up.

Upon her victory, Krystal (whose real name is Luke Fenn) became the youngest ever winner of any Drag Race series – no small feat for an international TV institution which has been on the air for 13 years.

Kitty Scott-Claus recently progressed to the semi-finals of Celebrity MasterChef, which are due to be guest-hosted by Dame Mary Berry.

Previous winners are Lawrence Chaney, who won the second season, and The Vivienne, who was crowned queen in the show’s first year.

Other big names to have emerged from Drag Race UK include Baga Chipz, Divina de Campo, and Bimini Bon-Boulash.
