One of ITV’s most popular programmes The Masked Singer has returned to our screens for the start of a new series and fans are already trying to work out the identities of the celebrities behind the masks.
Following the singing competition’s second episode tonight (Sunday, January 2), a number of viewers have already been sharing their best guesses on social media as to who are behind the masks.
But are they any closer to working it out than Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora or Mo Gilligan?

Rockhopper’s lively performance tonight had viewers making all sorts of guesses, but a number of fans all had the same idea.
A number of viewers appear to be convinced that Rockhopper is voiced by Hollywood actress and Spiderman star Zendaya.
One viewer said: “Rockhopper has to be Zendaya #MaskedSinger ” Another added: “This sounds like Zendaya, surely not!? #MaskedSingerUK ”
Dozens more excited viewers had the same idea: “Bold guess. Rockhopper is Zendaya #MaskedSingerUK ”
A number of Twitter-users were quick to suggest the masked singer could be numerous members of the pop group The Pussycat Dolls.
“Rockhopper Ashley Roberts? #MaskedSinger,” one user said.
“I think Rockhopper is a Pussycat Doll. I just don’t know which one,” another added.

Another said: “I think panda is Susan Calman.”
A number of jokers suggested Bear Grylls may be behind the mask, while others weren’t convinced.

When it came to Poodle’s performance, a number of fans were on the same page when it came to the singer’s identity.
“Fabulous and can sing, has to be John Barrowman,” one viewer said. Another added: “John Barrowman as poodle.”
Another Twitter-user seemed certain the Doctor Who and Torchwood star is behind the mask: “Poodle is John Barrowman – no doubt in my mind.”
Aside from John Barrowman, a number of other fans had different ideas about Poodle’s identity.
A number of viewers seemed to think Poodle could be TV presenter and comedian Paul O’Grady: “Poodle could be Paul O’Grady #MaskedSinger.”

Bagpipes certainly had one of the more unusual costumes on tonight’s show, though fans were even more distracted by the singer’s accent.
A number of viewers suspected there may indeed be a Scottish singer behind the mask. “Bagpipes is Scottish could be Lewis Capaldi? #MaskedSinger,” one viewer said.
One viewer said: “David Tennant? Bagpipes #MaskedSinger ”
Someone else agreed: “I’m changing my mind and saying David Tennant for bagpipes #MaskedSinger ”
