STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl Now Targets a Fall 2022 Release Date
Oldboi, a Ukrainian YouTuber who had already leaked some correct info from the country’s development studios such as GSC Game World, has recently claimed in his latest video that STALKER 2 has been delayed until Fall 2022, and the developers would announce it in the next showcase of the game.
As reported by Championat, the PS5 version of the game is also in the works and would be available either in late 2022 or early 2023. Oldboi claims that STALKER 2 will feature special DualSense support for some of the gameplay mechanics.
Originally, GSC Game World was supposed to release STALKER 2 back in 2012, almost three years after Call of Pripyat. That said, the game went into development hell and the studio had no choice but to abandon the project.
In 2018, GSC Game World announced that they had restarted the project once again, and while it was first based on Unreal Engine 4, the team resumed the development to Unreal Engine 5 later.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is currently slated to launch on April 28 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is supposed to be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
