Royal Blood storm off stage and swear at crowd enraging fans – ‘Pathetic’

The massive rock band Royal Blood were included in the line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend just a few days, where they played between such massive acts as Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan.

However, when the Worthing-based band hit the stage, they were seemingly not happy with the reaction they received.

As demonstrated on a video of the Big Weekend’s proceedings, singer and bassist Mike Kerr began berating the crowd and referenced them as being one of the few rock acts on the line-up.

He yelled to the placid crowd: “Well, I guess I should introduce ourselves, seeing as no one knows who we are. We are called Royal Blood and this is rock music… who likes rock music?”

After a short applause, Kerr rolled his eyes: “Nine people, brilliant.”

After Royal Blood played a few more songs, Kerr began hitting out at the crowd once again for not giving them the reaction they believed they deserved.

“We’re having to clap ourselves,” Kerr jeered. Because that was so pathetic.”

Pointing out people in the crowd, he added: “Can you clap for us? You’re busy.”

At the end of the set, Royal Blood finished off their final song and Kerr dropped his guitar to the floor.

He instantly raised his arms and shot out both his middle fingers as he strutted off stage.

Meanwhile, the drummer could be seen telling people in the crowd to “smile”.

After this video surfaced on Twitter, music lovers have viciously hit out at the band.

One angrily wrote: “Speaking as a Royal Blood fan, I’m all for back and forth with the audience but ideally not: 1) to an audience of teenagers 2) when you come across like a sassy walk-on from Made In Chelsea Respect your audience, always.”

Another agreed: “Behaving like an entitled t**t won’t endear him or his band to anyone.”

A third concurred: “Maybe they just aren’t as good or as appealing as they think they are.”
