Actress and comedian Rose Matafeo stormed onto the scene in the late 2000s and hasn’t looked back since.
The star has gone from comedian, to television presenter and has picked up a famous romantic partner along the way.
Though she seems to have a particular taste in men, she did however, lose her sense of taste.
After catching Covid the star took to her Instagram stories telling fans she had lost her sense of taste.
Rose said: “Still can’t taste coffee the same after recovering from Covid weeks ago.
“A luckily mild symptom but goddamn, I miss tasting that morning java hit. Has it come back for anyone else?”
Although Covid affected her tastebuds, it didn’t affect her sense of humour, as the star who caught the comedy bug at a young age has blazed the trail since.
The entertainer rose to fame when she began doing stand-up at the age of 15.
As a teenager from Auckland, New Zealand, she attended the country’s Trust’s Class Comedians programme.
The budding comedian then went on to beat the competition and win the Nailed It On The Night award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in 2007.
After knocking it out of the park in 2007, a slew of awards followed in both New Zealand and the UK.
The star took home the best newcomer award at the 2010 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
But it didn’t stop there and Rose also took home the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018 for her show Horndog.
To top it all off, the comedian also won the coveted Billy T Award.
In between collecting accolades, Rose somehow made time for a love life but it’s no surprise that the busy star fell for fellow comedians.
In 2015 and 2016, Rose had a relationship with English comedian James Acaster.
James appeared in Josh Widdecombe’s BBC Three sitcom Josh, where he took on the role of Mike.
Rose reportedly moved to London in 2015 to be with him but the pair ultimately split.
She also dated another comedian Guy Williams but this time from New Zealand.
The comic also reportedly lived with fellow comedian and TV presenter Nish Kumar, before she moved in with James.
Rose has made her debut on television by starring on numerous shows but she also took her hand at television presenting.
As well as cracking jokes, Rose showed off her talents on TVNZ youth show U Live as the show’s presenter.
