Roosters young gun Joseph Suaalii has avoided suspension for his late hit on Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.
Midway through the first half of the Roosters’ win over the Warriors, Nicoll-Klokstad had long passed the ball when Suaalii put a hit on him from behind.
In commentary, Panthers great Greg Alexander was less than impressed with Suaalii’s hit.

“It’s not on. You can’t hit a man once he’s let go of the ball and once he’s relaxed and Joseph Suaalii hit him under the ribs, under the back,” he said on Fox League.
“We try and protect our playmakers from that from forwards when they drift across the field. Once they let go of the ball, you can’t hit them.”
Suaalii was slapped with a grade one dangerous contact charge and fined $3,000.
Dolphins hooker Jeremy Marshall-King is facing two weeks on the sideline for his ugly hip-drop tackle on Raiders prop Corey Horsburgh.

Marshall-King was slapped with a grade two dangerous contact charge for being the third man into the 36th minute tackle, which saw Horsburgh come out of it clutching at his knee.
Marshall-King was subsequently sent to the sin-bin. He will spend two weeks watching if he accepts the early plea, or three if he fights it and loses.
Dolphins lock Tom Gilbert was also fined $3,000 for his dangerous tackle on Pasami Saulo, as was Bulldogs star Viliame Kikau for tripping Will Warbrick.
