Rolling Stones star surprises fans at Johnny Depp’s Hollywood Vampires concert

Last night Johnny Depp and his rock supergroup with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry performed at London’s O2.

Towards the end of the Hollywood Vampires’ 19 track set, the Pirates of the Caribbean star took the microphone and paid tribute to his late friend and collaborator Jeff Beck.

The 78-year-old guitarist died back in January after releasing an album and touring with the 60-year-old actor last year.

Depp told the audience: “A while back it was a great loss for all of us… Mr Jeff Beck.”

He then welcomed a Rolling Stones legend on stage in a surprise appearance, saying: “Let me introduce you to one of Jeff’s best friends in the world.”

At that moment, Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood came on stage with his guitar to thunderous applause.

Prior to arriving at the O2, the 76-year-old shared an Instagram video of himself being driven to the venue.

He said: “I’m just on my way to pay a surprise visit to my friends at the O2 Arena tonight. I believe they call themselves the Hollywood Vampires. So I’m just gonna play a little guest set with them and see my old pals again!”

After introducing Wood to the stage, Depp held up a white guitar which was revealed to Beck’s.

The Jack Sparrow star then told the audience: “He’s still here! And he wants his dear friend Joe Perry to play this.”

After performing a Jeff Beck Tribute together, they were joined on stage for The Train Kept A-Rollin’ by Imelda May on vocals before Alice Cooper’s School’s Out encore closed the show.
