Rolling Stones star Charlie Watts’ final photo with beloved wife after his tragic death
Charlie Watts’ wife Shirley, 80, is currently mourning the loss of her long-term spouse, who died yesterday. The Rolling Stones legend died peacefully surrounded by his family following an age-related illness. In the pair’s final public snap together last year, the drummer cut a suave figure in a beige suit with a brown top and matching shoes.
Shirley also beamed for the camera wearing casual attire consisting of a blue jacket, jeans and trainers.
The couple posed for a picture alongside their new rescue dog Suzie, who they adopted from the Forever Hounds Trust.
The animal charity shared the snap on their Twitter page, writing: “We are so excited for our Suzie, who has found her #ForeverHome with @RollingStones drummer Charlie Watts and his wife Shirley.
“Shirley is an Honorary Friend of Forever Hounds Trust and Suzie, their new companion, was rescued from the greyhound racing industry.”

The couple married in 1964 and share one daughter Seraphina Watts, 52, together.
The latter is mum to 25-year-old Charlotte Watts, a model who hit the headlines when her stuffed wolf Frostbite was stolen from her London home.
Charlie’s death came just weeks after it was revealed he would miss the Rolling Stones’ US tour next month to recover from an unspecified medical procedure.
He was previously treated for throat cancer in 2004.
