Robin Williams’ son pays tribute on anniversary of his death ‘You lived to bring laughter’
Robin Williams was one of the world’s best-loved comedians and actors and today sadly marks the seventh anniversary of his death. The star died by suicide on August 11, 2014 at 63-years-old and had been struggling with Lewy body disease. Among tributes today was one from his son Zak Williams, which he posted on his Twitter.
Zak tweeted a picture of his father Robin with a beard and gave a touching message.
He tweeted: “Dad, seven years ago today you passed on. The joy and inspiration you brought to the world carries on in your legacy and in your family, friends, and fans you so loved.
“You lived to bring laughter and to help others. I will be celebrating your memory today. Love you forever.”
Robin would have been 70-years-old last month and his daughter Zelda tweeted thanks to fans for tributes around that time.

Zelda, named after the Nintendo video game princess, tweeted: “Thanks to everyone who sent thoughtful things on Poppo’s bday.
“Celebrated him in my own way yesterday, grateful for the space to do so.
“It’s gotten a little less strange over the years, and I’ve gotten a bit less scared of being me in the face of it. All things in time I guess…
“Anywho I’m gonna go back to ignoring this space for a bit. Gets predictably weird this time of year.”
Black continued: “But while we’re there, we find clues left behind by [Robin Williams’s Adam Parrish].
“He built a full-blown jungle house, similar to a Swiss Family Robinson situation. It’s like he’s there helping us without actually being there.”
