Robbie Williams was forced to press pause on a recent live show blaming the lasting effects of long Covid.

The former Take That singer, 49, performed at Pinkpop music festival in the Netherlands alongside the likes of Pink and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers this weekend.

But during his set, the Rock DJ hitmaker suddenly stopped in his tracks before beginning his fourth song after he appeared out of breath.

Explaining the break to the audience, he put it down to the effects of long Covid.

‘No, stop stop,’ he announced to the crowd, adding: ‘I’m f****d. I’m f****d. It’s long Covid, I’ve got long Covid. It’s not my f*****g age, you f*****s.’

Following the brief stop, he went on to continue his full set uninterrupted, as reported by News.com.au.

It comes after the singer got raw and emotional during his UK exclusive headline slot at this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival speaking about his mental health and addiction issues.

Robbie was among the likes of George Ezra, Pulp, and The Chemical Brothers headlining the sold-out event at Seacote Farm, Newport.

During his performance, he spent time reflecting on his time with iconic pop band Take That, commenting on how his rise to stardom led to his issues with depression and addiction.

The Rock DJ hitmaker also detailed what two things got him through his troubles, paying tribute to his wife Ayda Field as well as his dedicated fanbase.

‘Two things saved me from this… I didn’t want to be here, three or four times I thought, “I’ve had enough, I’m bailing out, I can’t stand this anymore,’” he told the crowd.

Robbie then told the crowd what those two things were – first, meeting his wife, and second, how the love of his fans helped him battle the voice telling him ‘you’re not good enough.’

‘When that negative head tells me, “I’m s**t, I don’t deserve this, you’re not good enough, you can’t sing, you look ugly, you’re fat” – all these things these things that the negative voices can say, you grab hold with something, anything that can make you feel okay in this world that is brutal at times,’ he continued.
