Richard Yap expressed disappointment on social media after getting bombarded with several calls from a telecommunication company, reminding him of his P599-worth phone bill.

The actor showed a screenshot of his call log where four different numbers called him in a span of few minutes, via his Twitter page on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Grabe tong [Smart], tawag [nang] tawag kahit di mo pa due date. Akala nila [tatakasan] natin sila ng 599 pesos when [we’ve] been subscribers for more than 10 years already [pero] pag wala tayong signal sa area natin ‘di naman nila inaayos,” he said.

(Smart is too much, they keep on calling when it’s not [my] due date yet. They think we would run off with their P599 when we have been subscribers for more than 10 years already. But when there’s a signal problem in our area, they do not fix it.)

Yap’s complaint then met the same sentiments from netizens who also expressed their dismay over the telecommunication provider.

“This is so true. Pwede naman [one] text reminder lang. That’s it. ( It could have just sent one text as a reminder then that’s it),” one @yumifaeldo stated.

“The same experience, laging mahina [ang] signal,” one @jen_16_18 commented. ([I have] the same experience, the signal always gets interrupted.)

“Kapag tayo po ang may kailangan, dedma po sila… Pero kapag sila po ang may kailangan kahit hindi pa po sila dapat magdemand, ang bilis bilis ng response kahit hindi sila kailangan or tinatawagan,” one @Corrine_JoChard tweeted.

(When we are the one in need, they do not attend to us but when it is them who need something from us — even when they should not demand — they respond swiftly even when we do not need or call them.)

The company has responded to Yap’s complaint with an apology, assuring the actor that his concern will be resolved. EDV
