Resilient Q2 show, buyback to offer support to Infy stock in the short term
Synopsis
Infosys reported a 4% sequential jump in CC revenue for the September quarter, which was similar to the peers. However, the reported growth of 2.5% in revenue at $ 4,555 million was better than the 1.4% and 1.9% increase reported by TCS and HCL Tech while being a tad higher than the 2.3% growth reported by Wipro.
ET Intelligence Group: As anticipated, Infosys posted better revenue and profit growth in the reported dollar and rupee terms sequentially than the top-tier peers for the September quarter though it marginally missed the average analyst estimates. The company reported a multi-quarter high total contract value (TCV) of $2.7 billion, assuring a sustained deal flow.
