Reds star flattens rival with monster hit

Queensland Reds centre Hunter Paisami put in a contender for the biggest hit of the season after applying a crunching shot on Noah Lolesio.

During the first half of the Super Rugby AU Final rematch between the Reds and Brumbies, Paisami timed the perfect tackle following a Brumbies scrum feed.

The Reds centre made contact with Lolesio simultaneously as the Brumbies fly-half attempted to take possession of the pass.

Paisami went straight to the ribs of Lolesio, who immediately lost possession before the Reds were awarded a penalty for a ruck infringement just moments later.

“Check the ribs and check them twice. Ouch!” said Stan Sport commenter Sean Maloney.

All Blacks great Andrew Mehrtens added: “He picked that well and came from a long way back, did Hunter Paisami.

“No no, Noah, do not go there again is the message.”

Lolesio was forced out of the match early in the second half.

He was seen with his ankle in a small tub of ice.
