Experts at Comparitech revealed five red flags to watch out for when it comes to your Wi-Fi router signal.

The first involves taking a look at your wireless devices at home.

If they constantly show low Wi-Fi signal or fluctuating signal strength even when you’re in the same spot, interference could be happening.

The same can be said if you’re getting a much slower internet speed when connected to Wi-Fi than when just using data on your phone.

You also need to watch out for file transfers taking a very long time and Bluetooth devices that won’t pair properly.

The final bad sign on the expert list is regularly losing internet connection.

GOOD WI-FI ROUTER PRACTICES

You should put your Wi-Fi router as central in your home as possible.

Generally, you should keep it in an open area that’s raised off the ground.

Keep it away from metal, concrete, and large amounts of water where possible.

Always make sure your router is plugged into the master socket rather than an extension cable so it works faster.
