Rebisco heir Jonathan Ng named Asia United Bank’s chair

MANILA -Listed Asia United Bank (AUB) has elected Jonathan Ng as its new chair while Abraham T. Co was named vice chair of the bank.

Ng, 52, is the second son of Rebisco and AUB founder Jancinto L. Ng Sr. He is currently the vice chair of Rebisco Biscuit Corp.

He was part of AUB’s board from 1998 to 2016. Within the Rebisco Group, he holds the positions of president of Suncrest Foods Inc., president of Multirich Foods Corp., chair and president of RBC Retail Stores Corp., chair and president of SFI Multimix Corp., chair of Omnipack Industrial Corp., and director of SPI Corp.

He is also a stockholder of RBC Best Baker Food Inc. and Action Republic Corp, a trustee of Rebisco Foundation Inc.

Jonathan Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.

AUB also announced that retired Justice Adolfo S. Azcuna tendered his resignation as director but will continue to serve as senior adviser to the board.
