The couple married in 1996 after first meeting at a nightclub two years prior.
Kyle, 53, and Mauricio, 54, also share three daughters: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23 and Portia, 15, and Kyle has Farrah Brittany, 34, from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
But after almost three decades together and becoming a favourite with reality TV fans, they’re said to have called it a day.
A source told People that their split was ‘amicable’.
‘Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof,’ they said.
‘They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.’
This isn’t the first time the couple have been hit with split rumours.
Earlier this year, Kyle was spotted out and about without her wedding ring.
However, Mauricio maintained that everything was rosy.
‘We’re not getting divorced,’ he said on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Tamra Judge’s podcast Two T’s In a Pod in April.
He added: ‘I mean, it’s so dumb. That one stupid story that came out there, and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and so now it’s a storyline.’
Real Housewives fans were first introduced to the couple in 2010, when their family made its first appearance.
Kyle became a mainstay on the show and has been for 12 seasons, and the pair have always insisted that what viewers saw on TV was reflective of what happened off camera.
Speaking previously to People, they said: ‘We’re the same, with or without cameras.
‘We’re just super real and we know each other and we’re real. We don’t have any secrets to hide.
‘That’s one thing we talked about, the skeletons in the closet, and we can handle our worst skeletons.’
Back in 2021, as they celebrated their 25th anniversary, Kyle said her marriage was one of her greatest achievements.
In an interview with Bravo Insider, she said ‘It means so much, and it’s something that we’re both incredibly proud of.
‘For me, it’s one of my biggest accomplishments.’
