Reacher Second Season Will Begin Filming This Month, Additional Cast Announced
Amazon’s Prime Video, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios announced on September 21 that the second season of Reacher will begin filming this month, along with additional cast members.
The action-packed drama series stars Alan Ritchson in the lead role of Jack Reacher. Casting announced for the second season are series regulars Serinda Swan, Ferdinand Kingsley, Rory Cochrane with guest star Domenick Lombardozzi. Luke Bilyk, Dean McKenzie, Edsson Morales, Andres Collantes, Shannon Kook-Chun, Ty Victor Olsson, Josh Blacker, and Al Sapienza will also join the cast. Maria Sten will return for Season 2 as Frances Neagley and Shaun Sipos will play David O’Donnell.
Reacher’s first season was based on the Lee Child’s first Jack Reacher novel, Killing Floor. The second season is based on the 11th book in the series – Bad Luck and Trouble. The story begins with Reacher’s old military unit members start turning up dead, and he seeks revenge on the culprits.
Reacher was renewed for a second season only three days after the show debuted on Prime Video. It ranked among Prime Video’s top five most-watched series ever in the US and globally. Reacher was one of the most-binged Amazon original series ever on Prime Video.
Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora is writing for Reacher while also serving as executive producer and showrunner. Lee Child is also an executive producer on the series along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan and Adam Higgs with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost for Skydance.
