As former India captain MS Dhoni today turned 42 today, wishes continued to pour in. Jadeja’s message “See u soon in yellow” will also cheer up CSK fans who are hoping that their leader Dhoni will play for another season in IPL. “My go to man since 2009 to till date and forever. Wishing you a very happy birthday mahi bhai. See u soon in yellow,” Jadeja said in his congratulatory message for Dhoni.

Jadeja had made his international debut in 2009, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and is now Team India’s go-to man in many crisis situation. MS Dhoni this year led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team to a record-equalling fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Ravindra Jadeja contributed with both the bat and ball in CSK’s journey through the IPL seasons. CSK fans will certainly remember Jadeja’s crucial unbeaten knock in the IPL final which helped their team beat Gujarat Titans. CSK needed 13 runs from the final over but could manage just 3 runs in the first three balls of the over. Jadeja smashed Mohit Sharma for a six and a four off next two deliveries to snatch a win for his team.

After winning the IPL title in May this year, Dhoni said though the title triumph would have been the right time to announce his retirement but he wants to play in the next season as a gift for his fans, if his body permits. Dhoni is recovering from a surgery to treat his knee. During this season, it was evident he was struggling with his knee.

Dhoni’s former CSK teammate Suresh Raina also posted a special message for Dhoni on his birthday. “From sharing the pitch to sharing our dreams, the bond that we’ve created is unbreakable. Your strength, both as a leader and as a friend, has been my guiding light. May the year ahead bring you joy, success, and good health. Keep shining, keep leading, and keep spreading your magic,” Raina tweeted.
