SINCE the first game hit the shelves in 2002, Rachet & Clank has become one of gaming’s most beloved franchises.
But what games have been released so far, and when did they come out?
Ratchet & Clank games release order
Since its debut title in the early noughties, a further eleven console R&C games have been released.
The console games have all been developed by Insomnia games.
Two spin-off games were developed by High Impact Games for the PSP, both games were ported onto the PS2.
There are also two mobile games: Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile (2005), and Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus (2013), developed by Handheld Games and Darkside Game Studios respectively.
There was also a R&C animated film, which released in 2016.

Ratchet & Clank timeline order
Not all games follow a linear narrative from game to game.
The God of War series for example has to be played in a specific order to experience from it from the start of the story to its current ending.
Other franchises like Tom Raider don’t have a clear historical timeline like Call of Duty.
In Rachet & Clank’s case, the series follows a continuous story from the first game to the latest title, Rift Apart (2021).
The only exception to this is Rachet & Clank (2016) which revisits the story of the 2002 game
