Dave has confirmed that his upcoming shows at London’s O2 have been postponed after the venue suffered damage due to Storm Eunice.

Large parts of the O2’s roof were ripped off in the storm meaning Friday night’s show by AP Dhillon also had to be postponed.

Dave took to Instagram to confirm: ‘Not the best news, The O2 have told us Monday and Tuesday’s shows can’t happen because of the storm and the roof.

‘We are doing everything we can to reschedule the shows to play as soon as possible. Right now we do not know when The O2 arena will be open again for events but they’ve told us it shouldn’t be long at all.

‘I’ll release another statement on Monday but it should be very soon.’

The O2’s official Twitter account added: ‘Following the adverse weather conditions & The O2’s short closure, @Santandave1’s headline shows at The O2 arena, due to take place on Mon 21 and Tues 22 Feb, have now been postponed to allow time for the site to be event ready.’

It added that all tickets will remain valid for the new dates, telling fans: ‘Thanks so much for bearing with us and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.’

The O2 has yet to confirm when it will be able to open again, but revealed on Friday that the affected areas had been cleared so repairs could take place.

It said in a statement on Friday: ‘Due to adverse weather conditions, we can confirm that there has been some damage caused to the tent fabric in our roof at The O2.

‘The affected areas have been cleared and The O2 will remain closed tomorrow morning whilst urgent repairs take place.’

Dave’s We’re All Alone In This Together tour’s rescheduled dates have yet to be confirmed.
