Ranveer Singh showers Jayeshbhai Jordaar crew Ratna Pathak Shah, Shalini Pandey and more with praise

Ranveer Singh is all set to release his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar in a matter of days. The social comedy directed by Divyang Thakkar features Singh in the titular role alongside Shalini Pandey, Ratna Pathak Shah, Boman Irani and more. As the film’s May 13 release date draws close, Ranveer Singh took the opportunity to shower his co-stars and crew with appreciation.

Sharing a series of photos from a special screening, Ranveer Singh penned wholesome notes praising the main cast and key members of the Jayeshbhai Jordaar team. Taking to his Instagram stories, he dropped a picture with Ratna Pathak Shah who plays his on-screen mother. He wrote, “A special and emotional post-screening moment with the legendary thespian #RatnaPathakShah”. In another story, he wrote, “I cherish the bond with my on-screen mumma. One of the greatest actors I have had the privilege of collaborating with and learning from.”

He also hailed his co-star Shalini Pandey who plays his pregnant wife in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. He posted a story saying, “This jaan of a girl! @shalzp she is just so lovely. Can’t wait for you to be regaled by her immense talent on the big screen.”

Opening up about his experience working with actor Boman Irani he wrote, “The most extraordinary man! He is rare. One of a kind. I am so lucky to be sharing screen space with him. True artist. Beautiful human being @boman_irani.”

Next up, he shared a note dedicated to Pritam saying, “Pritam da and I worked on Band Baaja Baaraat for the first time. Ten years later we work on Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Joyous moment for the two of us!”

He also recalled an incident with Vishal Dadlani where he asked him for a selfie as a fan. “Beast man! From clicking a fan selfie with him at the airport 15 years ago to have him lend his special voice and compose for my films – it’s been a beautiful journey with him! Still the same warm, loving and gentle man I met in 2007. Just the coolest cat alive @vishaldadlani.”

In Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh plays a man from a traditional Gujarati family whose patriarch is a sarpanch. The film chronicles his journey of advocating for equal rights for men and women and keeping his family safe in a regressive society. The film arrives in cinemas on May 13.
