Rajinikanth’s next film is titled, Jailer. Check out its FIRST poster

Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated next film has been announced. Titled Jailer, the film will mark Rajinikanth’s 169th project. On Friday, the makers unveiled the film’s title. The makers of Jailer, Rajinikanth’s next, announced the film with a cryptic poster. The poster features a meat cleaver with blood stains hanging by a chain in a factory-like setting. Looks like the film is going to be a gruesome action flick.

Jailer will mark the first collaboration between director Nelson Dilipkumar and Rajinikanth. The film’s music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. 

Rajinikanth’s 169th film, called Thalaivar169 has been sparking speculation among fans for a while now. This announcement comes as a major update for those waiting for the superstar’s big-screen return. Rajinikanth was last seen in Annaatthe which arrived in 2021. Off-screen, he was spotted at Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s wedding.

Meanwhile, Nelson Dilipkumar’s last film was Beast starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde. The action thriller film arrived in cinemas in April this year. 

Of late, films from the South Indian industry have been making waves after titles like Pushpa: The Rise, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2 broke box office records. This has led to the surge in pan-India films. Amidst all the talk about pan-India films, Rajinikanth’s next is perhaps the most exciting announcement.
