Rainbow Six Siege Operation Brutal Swarm Teaser Reveals New Attacker Grim

Rainbow Six Siege players can finally meet Grim as the announcement teaser trailer for Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 3 Operation Brutal Swarm goes live.

Joining the Rainbow Six Siege roster as a new Attacker, Grim seemingly uses a small bee-like flying device as his main gadget, but it remains unknown how this gadget works and what advantages it provides for the attacking side.

If you have been following the leaks, Grim’s appearance was already leaked a few months earlier, but we have never found out anything about his gadget. He will apparently be a 2-Speed and 2-Health operator.

The full announcement of Operation Brutal Swarm will go live on August 21 on Twitch before the Grand Finale of Six Major Berlin 2022 esports tournament. We will update this post with the exact time of the announcement as soon as Ubisoft shares it.

Before we jump into Operation Brutal Swarm, the new content will be available in the Test Servers for a few weeks, as the developers will require player feedback for the final adjustments before launch.

In addition to a new operator, the new season will also bring balancing changes to Finka and all LMGs in the game. Since Finka received grenades as a secondary gadget, it didn’t take long that the operator to turn into a new attacking meta in the game. This balance change was supposed to arrive in Y7S2, but Ubisoft postponed it to Y7S3.

Originally, Rainbow Six Siege was supposed to receive a new map in Operation Brutal Swarm as well, but it was delayed to the final season of Year 7. Instead, the developers will add a new map to the Ranked/Unranked map list this season. Ranked 2.0 and Reputation System were also pushed back to Year 7 Season 4.

Last but not least, you can expect the addition of EMP Impact Grenade as a new secondary gadget for Attackers, which works similar to the nerfed version of Thatcher’s EMP Grenades.

The new season’s content is expected to be available in Test Servers only a day after its announcement similar to the previous seasons.
