In the summer of 2019, when IndiGo promoter Rahul Bhatia asked his restaurant China Club to deliver some fresh paan alongside food at the airline’s boardroom, his intention was to take a dig at Rakesh Gangwal. Just a few days back, Bhatia’s co-promoter had publicly stated that the airline was being run like a paan ki dukaan. Miami-based Gangwal, who had shepherded IndiGo since its inception in 2005, had shot letters to the market regulator
