Rachel Stevens ‘dating Dancing on Ice partner’ after marriage split
Rachel Stevens, 45, and American ice skater Brendyn Hatfield, 36, were partners on the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice. The S Club 7 star was eliminated third from the show but reports now claim that the pair are “smitten” with each other.
A source said: “Rachel had a really great friendship and partnership with Brendyn and it keeps developing.
“They’re really smitten and looking forward to the future.
“She wasn’t expecting to find love again at this stage in her life but she’s feeling positive about what’s to come and hopeful about a new start.
The source added that Rachel and her ex-husband Alex Bourne, 45, are on “great terms” co-parenting their daughters Amelie, 12, and Minnie, nine.
In a statement shared to Instagram, Rachel said: “While we are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other.
“I feel so incredibly grateful for the life we built together, and will now continue to be focused on moving forward, united as a family.”
They had married in a glamorous Mayfair wedding back in 2009. The couple had dated as teenagers after meeting when Rachel was just 12 years old.
Brendyn was previously married to fellow Dancing On Ice professional Jessica Hatfield.
The pair reportedly split two years ago and Jessica returned to the United States where she has been working as a nurse while also performing in the Disney On Ice tour, The Sun reports.
The reports come after the shocking death of Rachel’s S Club 7 bandmate Paul Cattermole.
The 46-year-old was tragically found dead at his home just weeks after the band confirmed their reunion tour.
Rachel, along with the rest of the group, was left “heartbroken” by the loss.
In a statement shared to Instagram, Rachel paid tribute to “such a kind, gentle and sensitive soul” and said his “incredible energy would light up any room”.
