Queen Letizia dazzles in monochrome dress and £670 heels

Queen Letizia visited the Royal Academy of Engineering in Madrid yesterday to attend the opening ceremony of the elected academics Elena García Armada and Ana Conesa Cegarra. The royal looked elegant in a black and white dress.

Letizia’s dress was a bespoke garment from Spanish designer Felipe Varela.

It featured a high neck, a swishing skirt, and a large black belt at its centre, cinching Letizia’s waist.

The sleeveless dress was white but had a floral pattern just above and below the belt, spreading across the garment’s middle.

Letizia is a fan of the designer and has worn his dresses before, including a similar one to the one she wore yesterday.

In 2017, at the Accion Magistral Awards in Madrid, Letizia donned a black and white bodycon dress featuring a similar floral design, but in black lace. The dress also had a collar and long sleeves.

Letizia has worn yesterday’s dress for past events too, specifically evening dos.

To attend the Royal Academy of Engineering, Letizia styled the dress with a pair of Prada Pointed Toe 100 Black Leather Pumps, which are for sale for £670 on fashion website Farfetch.

The heels are a classic shape and are made of soft, black leather.
